DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of analytical tasks, as well as performing preventative maintenance and repair work on a diverse fleet that includes construction machinery, trucks, and automobiles, all of which operate on gasoline or diesel engines. Your duties will encompass servicing various systems, including hydraulic, electrical, heating, cooling, and exhaust systems, in addition to both manual and automatic transmissions. You will also be tasked with conducting state vehicle inspections for all applicable equipment, ensuring that work orders are completed accurately, and meticulously recording the time spent on each task. It is crucial to promptly report any incidents or damage to the equipment. To effectively fulfill your responsibilities, you must be adept at identifying the appropriate procedures for repairing heavy machinery and applying the necessary mechanical adjustments to achieve optimal results. Furthermore, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues in the shop, and the equipment operators is of utmost importance.
