Function : General Restaurant Operations
Shift : Days / Nights / Weekends - variable hours
Position Overview : The Host position greets the customer immediately when they enter the restaurant. This is a part-time position. This position must possess a personal and energetic personality to welcome and seat guests ensuring their needs are accommodated. The Host recognizes and knows how to assist parties with children, large parties, businessmen / women and all other types of people that enter. The Host controls the flow of the restaurant through seating and to alleviate servers from getting multiple tables at one time to ensure each guest gets an excellent service experience. The Host must be aware of new menu items and specials and be able to answer all questions about the menu. The Host may also act as the person responsible for To Go Orders and selling of Merchandise. The Host follows up with guests as they are leaving to ensure they had a wonderful experience and reminds them of events to come back for. They are attentive to the FOH atmosphere and ensure that the overall cleanliness is being kept up for a great first impression. Education and / or Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience preferred but not required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience in area of food server desired but not required.

As a condition of your hire, we require that post hire and within 30 days of your hire date , you successfully complete all federal, state and company required alcohol service and or food service certifications. All costs of these certifications are at your own expense . Failure to successfully complete required certifications within 30 days of your hire date will result in the company reversing its offer of employment and you will be terminated within your 90-day introductory period.
