About this Position
Montana Housing strengthens our vibrant communities by supporting access to safe affordable and sustainable homes for Montanans whose housing needs are not met by the market. Montana Housing assists with buying a home down payment assistance mortgage servicing Reverse Annuity Mortgages rental housing assistance and multifamily rental development.
MBOH is administratively attached to the Department of Commerce and is one of three component units of the Commerce Housing Division known in the community and conducting business as Montana Housing.
Duties include but not limited to :
Program planning development and servicing of a variety of multifamily loans.
Creating executing and amending loan documents as appropriate.
Analyzing Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) bond and loan applications for financial and reasonable soundness. Producing portfolio performance reports and assisting in the presentation of loan portfolio assessments to the MBOH Board of Directors or other external audiences.
Tracking development for LIHTC allocations and ensuring compliance with Montanas Qualified Allocation Plan.
Participating in the preparation of bond structures official statements trust indentures and closing documents to fund new projects and / or programs.

What are we looking for
Education and Experience :
A Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration public administration or a similar field preferred
At least 2 years of job related experience
Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Competencies : Knowledge of :
Spreadsheet design and management
Using general office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel etc.) and specialized system applications
Real estate terminology
Ability to :
Provide excellent customer service to multifamily developers / customers
Underwriting loans and amending mortgage documents
Multi-task and adhere to deadlines

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule from a remote location within the State of Montana. Weekly travel to Helena offices will be required.
