Mass General Brigham in conjunction with the Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (MGH) Division of Palliative Care, Aging & Geriatric Medicine is seeking an Attending Physician trained in Geriatric Medicine interested in a career in academic medicine.
As two leading urban academic medical centers situated in the dynamic city of Boston, our institutions offer robust clinical and research opportunities for qualified candidates. Our geriatric medicine services span ambulatory primary care, subspecialty consultation, and inpatient co-management and consultation. In partnership with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, we also provide comprehensive post-acute care options for interested applicants, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration across the continuum of care.
The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical training and experience in Geriatric Medicine, with demonstrated proficiency in both acute care hospital and ambulatory care environments. This full-time (1.0 FTE) attending physician position encompasses responsibilities in both the ambulatory clinic and hospital-based inpatient service, with the distribution of clinical effort negotiable according to the candidate’s expertise and institutional needs. Candidates are expected to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to older adults, leveraging interdisciplinary approaches and evidence-based practices to address the complex needs of this population.

Candidates must meet the requirements for appointment at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have a Doctor of Medicine degree, and eligible for Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine.
