Position : Electrical Engineer EGSE, AI&T Quantum Space
Location : Rockville, MD
Commitment : Full-time
Who Were Looking For
Quantum Space is developing high-performance spacecraft designed for agility, autonomy, and mission longevity in cislunar space. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer EGSE, AI&T to lead the development and integration of electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) systems and to support spacecraft assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) activities.
This role is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who thrives at the intersection of hardware development, systems integration, and test execution. You will be a key contributor to ensuring safe and successful vehicle build-up and mission readiness.
Where Youll Make an Impact
- Design, procure, assemble, and operate EGSE systems for spacecraft AI&T including power distribution, communications, telemetry / command, RF test, and custom hardware interfaces
- Design and build EGSE harnesses for interfacing test equipment and spacecraft systems
- Lead spacecraft electrical system integration across avionics, EPS, communications, and propulsion subsystems
- Write and execute implementation plans, test procedures, and build documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve anomalies observed during integration and test operations
- Support vehicle-level environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, EMI / EMC)
- Support program milestones including PDR, CDR, MRR, and TRR
- Operate within cleanroom and ESD-controlled environments around flight hardware
- Create technical documentation and interface control documents (ICDs) for EGSE and AI&T handoffs across teams
- Develop and run automated test scripts and code for hardware validation and regression testing
