Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg unit on a 13-week contract Night shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Patient care in a setting with Level 1 Trauma exposure EPIC electronic medical record is used and experience is required Perform initial assessments, develop and modify patient care plans, and provide thorough patient documentation in accordance with unit standards Administer medications following the five rights of medication administration Maintain the highest priority on patient safety following all required precautions Delegate and validate completion of tasks as necessary to healthcare team members Strong teamwork and effective communication within the interdisciplinary healthcare team are expected RTO is not to exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract Candidates cannot have worked more than 1 year continuously at Carle Health and must take a 6-month break before returning Scrub requirements and holiday coverage policies are per facility standards No travel partners accepted for this assignment Requirements Active Illinois RN license, temporary license accepted At least one year of relevant nursing experience required; three years preferred Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma setting is required Prior documented experience with EPIC EMR is required ASN required; BSN preferred No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624302.
