ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : McKinney, TX 75069 (Dallas-Fort Worth area)

Facility : 37-bed Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room

Start Date : August 27, 2025

End Date : November 26, 2025

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 00-06 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks

Dress Code : Royal Blue scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360 - $1460 per week

Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required

Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills

Experience with GE Monitors and MediTech EMR preferred

Ability to float to ED holding areas as needed

Key Responsibilities for ER RN Travel Nurses

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in a busy ER setting

Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 4 in assigned zones

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, techs, paramedics, and charge nurses

Perform and assist with standard emergency department procedures

Accurately document patient care using MediTech EMR

Maintain a positive, energetic, and self-motivated attitude

Comply with unit guidelines, hospital policies, and dress code
