Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state

BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Labor and Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor and Delivery unit

Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

Administer medications and support pain management for patients

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care procedures

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical interventions
