Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This position will report directly to the Supplier Quality Manager and play a critical role in managing and improving supplier quality performance across our operations.

What You'll Bring

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) or 7+ years of experience in aerospace products / processes in a QA or QE capacity

Knowledge of FAA CFR 14 Part 21, AS9100, ISO 9001 / 9000, and AS9102

Hands-on experience with :

Root Cause & Corrective Action methods (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.)

Statistical analysis tools (SPC, Pareto, DPMO / PPM, etc.)

Mechanical & electronic inspection and test techniques (CMM, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)

GD&T, technical drawing interpretation

Quality auditing and supplier scorecards

Tools like DISCUS / Net-Inspect, SolidWorks, CATIA, and Microsoft Office

Preferred : Six Sigma Black Belt, AS9100 / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

What You'll Do

Lead and maintain high ethical standards aligned with industry quality codes and internal policies

Interpret and review flow-down requirements from customer contracts and supplier POs

Drive supplier quality strategy and engagement across departments

Manage supplier approvals, change requests, and quality metrics

Conduct supplier audits and assessments, recommending quality improvements

Lead investigations, MRB activity, and corrective / preventive action processes

Maintain and evolve the supplier portal, performance tracking, and scorecard systems

Mentor junior quality engineers and support inspection training

Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and QA teams to reduce risk and improve supplier quality
