Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and peripheral IV insertion skills for a busy hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based computerized tomography unit with both fixed and potential mobile unitsServe adult patient populations in a fast-paced, high-acuity settingPerform CT scans and may conduct general diagnostic radiology exams as neededResponsibilities include transporting patients to and from the EDNight shift schedule : likely Monday through Friday, 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM, with one weekend per month requiredNo call requiredRequires flexibility for floating to nearby sister hospital as neededUses PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) for imaging and documentationDuties include explaining procedures, reviewing clinical requisitions, setting up and operating CT equipment, administering IV contrast with power injectors, and performing sterile procedures with radiologist supportConsistently demonstrates principles of radiation safety and proper equipment handlingEnsures completion of all imaging and documentation in PACS / RISOccasional requirement to lift or move patients and equipment exceeding 10 lbsExposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patientsTeam members are expected to exhibit customer service excellence and embrace diversityScrub attire required per hospital policyOnline modules and lab work required onsite before start dateRTO requests must be discussed with management after assignment beginsRequirements
Current ARRT certification with advanced registry in CT (or registry-eligible)Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a CT Technologist in a hospitalActive MI license required for consideration if applicableBLS certification from the American Heart AssociationAssociate’s degree in Applied Science in Radiology requiredPeripheral IV insertion experience required or willingness to obtain trainingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and adapt to fast-paced, team-oriented environmentsMust complete required online modules and pass prior to startCOVID vaccine requiredBenefits
