Location : Trenton, NJ 08638 (New Jersey healthcare jobs)

Setting : Emergency Department (ER Float Pool – float to all 4 campuses)

Employment Type : Local Contract Nursing Job

Start Date : January 20, 2026

Contract Length : 8 weeks

Shifts per Week : 3 (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Pay Rate : $83.70 per hour

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

EMR System : Cerner

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or Compact State (required at time of application)

Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS

Flu vaccine required (no declinations or exceptions)

Ability to float to all 4 hospital campuses as needed

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department across multiple Trenton campuses

Float between Emergency Departments and ED Holds as assigned

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document nursing care and interventions using Cerner EMR

Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced clinical environment
