As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Telecom Sector in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and monitoring assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence and commitment to outstanding customer service will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for everyone on site. This is a driving post, where your role includes utilizing a company vehicle to support patrol efforts and respond to situations as needed, while embracing Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do :

Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the location.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.

Monitor entry and exit points to assist with the control of access and help to deter unauthorized individuals.

Document and report any unusual activities, observations, or incidents in accordance with company and client protocols.

Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and / or management as needed.

Assist with implementing site-specific directives and procedures to support a secure environment within the business setting.

Minimum Requirements :

At least two years of security-related experience is required.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
