Summary :
Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and electronic or verbal sources.
Use shop mathematics and precision measuring / test instruments to complete work assignments.
Utilize tooling for assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
Verify work meets work instructions, process, and engineering specifications; identify discrepancies per procedure.
Ensure equipment and tool certification is maintained per procedure.
Perform routine minor machine maintenance (e.g., replacing filters, maintaining lubrication / coolant levels).
Move products within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment; perform transactions to move product to the next operation.
Support continuous flow of products by training and assisting employees at all levels.
Assist in training assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified.
Perform work within allotted schedules and support overall production goals.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED
Must be able to start ASAP; workers will train Monday and Wednesday ; targeting 50 candidates per session until requisition is filled.
Must have the skills and knowledge to perform all general functions of an Assembly Mechanic, including Assembly / Installation, Structures, Sub-Assembly, and Sealer duties.
Must be able to work any required shift.
Sturdy, full-cover, low-heeled shoes required; dresses, skirts, and jewelry prohibited in shop areas.
Safety steel-toed shoes / boots required.
Strong sheet metal experience; will work in the 737 fuselage area.
Must pass the Plate Test.
Blueprint reading required.
U.S. Citizen required (as defined by ITAR).
