Statistical Assistant (On-site)

HEPCO, Inc. is seeking a Statistical Assistantto support our client’s data governance and analytics initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that enhance data integrity, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen statewide data-driven decision-making. Assist in data governance processes, including data quality, cataloguing, and related governance activities. Coordinate with stakeholders, collect updates, and prepare status reports and presentations. Collaborate across teams to drive assigned data governance projects and initiatives. Conduct data analysis and process reviews, prepare data definitions, and document business requirements. Develop documentation such as reference guides, summaries, reports, policies, and meeting minutes. Support and contribute to data governance forums and collaboration meetings. Compile and compute data according to statistical formulas for use in statistical and actuarial studies. Work with complex data sets to identify issues, recommend data-driven solutions, and apply analytical approaches. Automate manual processes and reporting tasks. Partner with business users and analysts to develop analytical strategies for implementation. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Candidate Qualifications 5 years of experience in data governance. 5 years of experience in compiling and computing data according to statistical formulas for data analytic and / or statistical studies. Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, complex formulas). Strong understanding of SQL and relational database management systems. Experience with data quality and metadata management platforms (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Alation). Familiarity with modern cloud technologies such as Salesforce and Snowflake. Ability to develop metrics, reports, and presentations for business and technical audiences. Skill in translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective working both independently and collaboratively.
