CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as a Consumer Lender - Underwriter, for our Main Office in Hillsdale, Michigan. This position will be ON-SITE in Hillsdale.
JOB SUMMARY
Underwrites and evaluates consumer loan applications and documentation to determine credit worthiness. Approves or rejects loan requests within loan approval limits. Assists branch managers / officers in qualifying loan applications while adhering to all underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures.
DUTIES
- Provides underwriting decision following guidelines (1st review) within 48 hours of file being submitted to the underwriting queue.
- Completes 2nd review within 48 hours of submission and processes Adverse Actions (Denied / Withdrawn files), when necessary.
- Validates loans to loan policy and guidelines, as well as getting the needed approvals.
- Assists loan originator with :
Getting a credit analysis to do a self-employed income analysis and determining the qualifying income for self-employed borrowers
