Position Summary :
RResponsible for the development and production of timely and accurate complex Finance Committee reports / publications for all Asset Management clients. Compiles complicated reports and documents from several different sources into one PowerPoint document, which is proofread and analyzed for accuracy between the various sources. Consults with portfolio managers, portfolio assistants and accountants to identify the required financial data, to determine the most appropriate report format and to develop and maintain the client presentations and analytical data associated with those presentations.This position requires a strong command of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as proven skills in grammar, proofreading and editing, in addition to an excellent eye for detail and accuracy. The candidate must be independent and be able to handle several tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. In addition, this position requires excellent communication skills to collaborate with peers and senior management.In addition, the position will require flexibility in job tasking as we move to a different reporting platform while continuing to produce current reporting at the same elevated level of accuracy and quality. This transition will require research, new procedure development, implementation, and extensive quality testing as well as conceptual discussions to ensure a smooth conversion over the next few years.
Responsibilities
Develop and produce timely and accurate monthly / quarterly complex Finance Committee Client Reports via batch reporting, web reporting, SimCorp and other miscellaneous sources.
Research, investigate, and test apparent discrepancies between source documents, determine source of problems and resolve.
Develop method(s) of streamlining / automating / extracting data for data presentations to ensure highly relevant and timely data; collaborate with Portfolio Managers to continually enhance reporting process. Develop and maintain Trade Recap Report compilation and compliance procedures.
Cross-train other team members as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Management, or equivalent relevant experience
5-7 years of work experience in Finance or Insurance industry
Intermediate / Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills strongly desired
Proven ability to proofread, edit and correct grammar
Strong analytical skills
Detail-oriented and accuracy-conscientious
Ability to independently complete research and work within strict deadlines
