    Our Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner performs comprehensive women's health services, including physical exams, diagnosing conditions, providing prenatal and postnatal care, and managing family planning and contraception. The role involves developing and implementing care plans, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients, all under physician collaboration. Key responsibilities also include accurate documentation and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities :

    • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health histories.
    • Diagnose and treat common women's health issues and reproductive health problems.
    • Provide prenatal and postnatal care, including education and management up to delivery.
    • Manage family planning services, including prescribing and inserting / removing contraception like IUDs and implants.
    • Order and interpret laboratory, radiological, and other diagnostic tests.
    • Formulate and implement treatment plans, including prescribing appropriate medications and medical devices.
    • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medical therapy.
    • Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality and continuity of care.
    • Organize and present patient data to physicians.
    • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient assessments and care in electronic health records (EHR).
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees.
    • May assist physicians with procedures.
    • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
    • Qualifications and Skills :

    • Graduation from an approved nurse practitioner program.
    • Licensure as a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state of Alabama.
    • Certification in an appropriate specialty in Women's Health or Family Practice.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
