Position Title\n\nRN / Registered Nurse - Cardiac Rehab RN - PRN (Miami Co)\n\nDays - PRN\n\nPaola Hospital\n\nPosition Summary / Career Interest\n\nProvides primary care services in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. Demonstrates collaborative interaction as a member of the interdisciplinary team in achievement of patient care goals.\n\nResponsibilities And Essential Job Functions\n

• Conducts cardiovascular disease risk factor evaluation.\n
• Develops a cardiovascular risk reduction plan individualized for each patient.\n
• Provides patient education and counseling in a broad spectrum of health related areas.\n
• Guides the patient into a network of social support as needed.\n
• Assists the patient in developing strategies for behavioral modification.\n
• Provides exercise prescription and instruction.\n
• Instructs and leads group educational and exercise sessions.\n
• Monitors and obtains patient vital signs, telemetry, and symptoms.\n
• Interact with other team members to establish a continuum of care for the patient while an inpatient.\n
• Establish relationships with other disciplines and other facilities to provide for continuum of care as the patient is discharged from the hospital.\n
• Establish and provide in-service educational programs on cardiac rehabilitation to nursing staff, physicians department staff, students and the community.\n
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.\n

• High School Graduate\n
• Bachelor Degree Nursing\n
• 3 or more years clinical nurse experience\n\nPreferred Education And Experience\n
• Master Degree Nursing\n
• Experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation\n\nRequired Licensure And Certification\n
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)\n
• Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing Must have current active multistate state Register Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state in which you live OR active single state RN license in good standing in the state you will be working with proof of application of a multistate RN license in the state in which you live.\n\nStaff hired prior to 2 / 1 / 2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3 / 31 / 2026.\n
