Overview
Student Assistant - Information Technology
Department : University Health Center (UHC) – Material Services. The IT Student Assistant will work as part of the IT client support team to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technology-related issues reported through the University Health Center's helpdesk phone and ticketing system, as well as supporting health center staff with technology focused workflows. The individual in this role will also assist with the management of IT inventory, including imaging and deploying computer systems, preparing deprecated equipment for surplus, and maintaining IT storage spaces. The person in this position will be expected to maintain confidentiality and privacy of information in accordance with FERPA, HIPAA and other federal, state, Board of Regents and UGA regulatory requirements.

Physical Demands
Lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs.). Lift, stoop, bend, and perform a variety of tasks with good manual dexterity. Stand for long periods of time (4-8 hours). See small objects clearly and discriminate color. Properly hear and transcribe phone orders. Perform fine motor skills.
