Job Summary for Registered Nurse – MiraVista Behavioral Health Center, Holyoke, MA
\n
\n- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to psychiatric and substance use disorder patients and their families / legal guardians.
\n- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in alignment with TaraVista Behavioral Health Center core principles.
\n- Collaborate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
\n- Participate in developing, implementing, and documenting individualized treatment plans, including setting appropriate goals and interventions.
\n- Utilize critical thinking and advanced behavioral health / substance abuse treatment knowledge to make clinical decisions and solve problems.
\n- Apply the nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care.
\n- Develop therapeutic relationships with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
\n- Effectively communicate orally and in writing; use electronic medical records.
\n- Manage crises, delegate tasks, coach peers, and contribute to team building.
\n- Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and composure in high-stress situations.
\n- Take charge and float as needed within the facility.
\n- Work full-time, including every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.

\n Meet the following qualifications :
\n- Active RN license in Massachusetts (BSN preferred).
\n- At least one year of psychiatric nursing experience required.
\n- CPR certification required.
\n- Experience in restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred.
