JOB PURPOSE
The Athletic Trainer ensures the health, safety, and wellbeing of AIS student-athletes through the delivery of high-quality sports medicine services and injury prevention programming. This is a full-time, 12-month position supporting the AIS Athletics Department across all sports in Secondary School (Grades 6-12).
The Athletic Trainer collaborates with coaches, school nurses, families, and external healthcare providers to deliver proactive care and responsive treatment, helping students perform at their best and recover with confidence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Athletic Trainer plays an essential role in supporting the physical wellbeing of student-athletes, including :
Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for Grades 6–12, referring athletes to appropriate physicians and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
Coordinate with parents, coaches, school nurses, and physicians regarding injuries, return-to-play, and medical care plans
Manage and document athlete physicals using the school’s EMR system
Maintain and order medical and training supplies
Engage actively with the broader AIS community through events and school life
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia First Aid / CPR Instructor Certification
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) preferredSpecialized Skills
Strong evaluation and rehabilitation skills
