Job Title : Network Engineer

Location : Eglin AFB, FL

Canvas is seeking a Network Engineer to support our customer, the 96 RNCS. This opportunity is located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida 32542. The 96th Range Control Squadron Operations involve the real-time tracking and control of aircraft and weapons in flight, data collection, and data processing for real-time and post-mission system under test performance analysis.

Duties :

• Network engineer, system administrator and cyber engineer for the Next Generation Data Ecosystem (NDGE) program to play a crucial role in designing, implementing, researching, and maintaining a robust network infrastructure. This role focuses on high-level design and troubleshooting, often collaborating closely with security teams to optimize and secure our network infrastructure.
• 3 years experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure, demonstrating a deep knowledge and practical application.
• Understanding of integrated capability for large scale storage, multi-cavate, and encryption in flight solutions.
• Knowledge of networking tools from industry leaders such as Cisco, Juniper, or SolarWinds, as well as other enterprise-grade solutions.
• Analytical skills for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving network performance issues efficiently, ensuring minimal service disruption.
• Experience with various dynamic routing protocols, encryption protocols, Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN), and Access Control Lists (ACL) configurations, along with IP address management and network security measures.
• DoD cybersecurity processes including RMF and JSIG.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional certification is preferred, but Cisco Certified Network Associate is acceptable.

Requirements :

OR 6 additional years of experience in applicable field = Bachelor's

Security Clearance : Must have and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.
