Were seeking a hands-on IT leader to oversee all aspects of technology across our 600-employee roofing company. This role blends technical management, application ownership, and data analytics to ensure our teams have the tools and insights they need to deliver operational excellence. The ideal candidate is both strategic and practical equally comfortable managing vendors, building dashboards, and solving business problems through data. Self-starter comfortable in a small, fast-moving company with limited bureaucracy. Practical, service-oriented mindset roll up your sleeves approach to problem-solving. Experience in roofing, construction management industry, or related trades is a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Technology Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute a company-wide IT strategy aligned with business (sales, operations, service, safety, and finance).
- Serve as the point person for all technology systems ERP, CRM, estimating, scheduling, and field operations tools.
- Partner with leaders across departments to identify technology needs and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and business continuity standards are met.
2. Application Management
Oversee and optimize core business applications (e.g., construction / roofing ERP systems, CRM platforms, time tracking, and project management tools).Manage vendor relationships, system upgrades, integrations, and licenses.Troubleshoot issues, manage help desk support (internally or through a vendor), and document key processes.3. Data, Reporting, and Analytics
Build and maintain company dashboards that provide visibility into performance metrics (sales pipeline, project margins, job costing, safety, etc.).Translate data into business insights that support decision-making at all levels.Develop and maintain data governance practices to ensure accuracy and consistency.Leverage tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio to automate reporting.4. Infrastructure & Security
Manage network performance, connectivity, backups, and cloud solutions.Oversee endpoint management (laptops, mobile devices, servers); experience with Intune and Apple Business Manager is highly preferred.Implement cybersecurity best practices including access controls, MFA, and employee training.5. Team & Vendor Management
Manage and coordinate internal technical and application support staff, as well as external Managed Service Providers (MSPs), to ensure seamless technology and systems operations.Negotiate vendor contracts and ensure service levels are met.Provide technology training and support for end users.Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Proven experience implementing and supporting business systems in construction, manufacturing, or field-service environments.Demonstrated understanding of operational and CRM systems; experience with platforms such as AccuLynx, HOVER, SalesPro, Spotio, or comparable applications is highly desirable.Minimum of 5 years experience working within Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Infrastructure & Security, SharePoint, Azure, SSO connections, SharePoint Lists, Power Automate, and Power BI.Strong hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and databases (SQL).Excellent communication, vendor management, and project leadership skills.We take great pride in delivering a 5 Star customer experience , quality workmanship for our customers and upholding an outstanding work environment for our employees.
