(Mon – Thu, 1st Shift 5 : 00 am – 3 : 30 pm or 2nd Shift 3 : 30 pm – 2 : 00 am)

Overtime may be required

JOB DESCRIPTION :

A well-established structural steel fabrication company, is looking for a motivated individual with experience in structural steel fabrication. We are looking for someone who is organized, has excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail, and has a desire to learn and grow with an organization. Candidates will be expected to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to :

• Work under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Perform fit-up / dimensional inspections to verify compliance to shop drawings.
• Monitor welding operations for compliance with codes and company welding procedures.
• Perform 100% visual weld inspection for weld quality, size, and location.
• Monitor surface preparation and coating application. Perform paint inspections to verify quality and dry film thickness.
• Accurately document all performed inspections.
• Communicate with shop supervision on any noncompliant items found.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Job Prerequisites :

QC experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided in inspection techniques, non-destructive testing, and relevant codes and standards such as AISC and AWS. Must be a team player with a strong
