In-house legal department for a large, family - owned construction company is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.

Attorney will report to General Counsel and duties will include drafting correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery; performing factual and legal research; witness coordination; attending court appearances, and trial preparation. No billable hours, salary commensurate with experience. Please submit cover letter, resume, and writing sample.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and California state court rules, procedures, and filing requirements.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with supervising attorneys, staff, clients, and other professionals.
