The Project Manager is responsible for controlling and managing the financial performance of multiple projects while coordinating with clients, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments. This role oversees project start-up through close-out, ensuring quality execution, cost control, and client satisfaction while supporting the overall success of each project. Located in San Marcos, CA. Full-time, Monday-Friday, HYBRID Schedule. $85,000-$120,000 DOE
Duties :
Oversee project start-up, contract review, and execution
Manage project costs, change orders, and RFIs
Handle client invoicing, scheduling, and ongoing communication
Direct subcontractor and vendor relationships
Lead Monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) presentations and reporting
Provide technical support to Project Developers and Estimators
Develop project budgets, negotiate SOVs, and monitor cost projections
Manage procurement, fabrication, and vendor release
Conduct PM-to-Superintendent handoff meetings
Resolve disputes with clients, contractors, and vendors
Ensure quality control, punch list completion, and project close-out
Requirements :
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
2+ years of Project Management experience (government, DSA, or military construction preferred)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of construction documents, contracts, and accounting
Proficiency with financial, word processing, spreadsheet, and scheduling software
Valid California Driver’s License; travel to job sites required (~2 days / month)
Ability to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied office / construction environments
