About The Position

Job Title : RN - Emergency Department Observation

Description :

The Observation unit cares for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if the patient's condition is serious enough for admission or if the patient can be treated and released home safely.

The unit operates in a fast-paced environment, with a turnover of 20 to 27 patients per day.

The average length of stay is 27 hours.

There is 24 / 7 provider coverage in the unit.

Care is provided for a diverse adult population of both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients.

Patients will range from those needing short stays to full admissions.
