General Surgeon

A Navy General Surgeon provides a full range of general surgical services to military personnel, their families, and civilians during disaster relief, while also being prepared for trauma and damage control resuscitation in austere, forward-deployed environments at sea or ashore. They are officers in the Navy Medical Corps, working in various settings from shore-based military hospitals to deployed surgical teams and hospital ships.
