Lead Technician / Crew Chief
The Lead Technician / Crew Chief coordinates, monitors, and performs work activities on residential and commercial projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience. Responsibilities include supervising and performing production work according to SERVPRO processes and ensuring quality control, managing the customer and client experience and overall customer satisfaction tracked with online reviews, communicating clear expectations to restoration technicians, coaching and training them, and supervising their activities. Additionally, the role involves documenting a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided, monitoring assigned jobs from start to finish, managing labor and consumable item usage on assigned projects, communicating with production manager and office staff on project progress and issues, managing data using industry software programs, communicating, following, and enforcing all OSHA guidelines for job safety, and being readily available for on-calls and emergencies.
Requirements include experience in restoration work related to cleanup from damage caused by water, fire, and mold, experience leading and supervising a team in the restoration industry, IICRC certifications highly preferred, experience using industry-related software programs, ability to travel locally or out of state when necessary, ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as required, ability to be On-Call as needed, valid drivers license, ability to comply with franchise guidelines, effective written and oral communication, and preferable bilingual (English / Spanish), English is mandatory.
Physical and work environment requirements include the ability to regularly lift 50 pounds unassisted and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, exposure to chemicals, walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing, ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights, ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings), and repetitive pushing / pulling / lifting / carrying objects.
