Nights; 8 and 12-hour shifts; every third weekend rotation; holiday rotation.

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases .As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , our unit offers exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Completion of an accredited nursing program.Typically, 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Skills Required :
Holistic patient care approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to recognize and respond to situational changes confidently.Proficient in electronic medical records systems.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.Demonstrated ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with team members and patients.Physical Requirements and Work Conditions :
Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist throughout the workday.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., lift 20 lbs. overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs.May be exposed to chemicals, waste, blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases; protective gear required.Requires good speech, vision, hearing, and fine motor skills for clinical procedures.This job description indicates the essential duties expected of this role and may involve additional responsibilities as needed.
