This position is responsible for managing HDR's corporate level master specifications (MSS), the codes & reference standards (C&RS), and the standards & best practices (S&P) programs, and related functions. Collaborate with legal, related professional and regulatory organizations, C&RS subscription vendors, business group representatives, assigned professional staff, project management, production staff, construction services representatives, and other standards program leaders. Develop vision for the future of the programs and evaluate technology and business process alternatives to achieve the vision. Promote the acceptance and use of these systems.

In this role, we'll count on you to : supervise corporate standards and specification staff, lead and monitor efforts to maintain MSS content, evaluate 3rd party specification production systems as a possible solution for support of business lines and processes not previously covered by the current implementation of Chalkline's VisiSpecs product, evaluate new technologies for processing and managing these systems, including evaluating library technology to replace or supplement current SharePoint implementation, evaluate staffing and business process alternatives to maintain and improve the technical content of specifications and S&P systems, and the C&RS content subscriptions, collaborate with staff that may be assigned to assist in MSS activities, direct reviews with HDR's Legal Department as necessary, establish and monitor program goals and update development needs including user training, interact with project and specification teams to identify effective specification practice standards, develop annual budgets and manage those budgets.

Preferred qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, professional architecture or engineering registration, CSI Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) certification, Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) certification, or Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification, familiarity with organizational formats published by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), standard contract documents published by the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC), and other standard contract writing organizations such as AIA and DBIA, experienced with construction contract administration, including construction claims resolution, significant experience in multi-discipline design coordination, specifications production, construction bidding, and construction contract administration.

Required qualifications : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 10 years experience, professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role, strong communication and listening skills, ability to handle multiple assignments, good leadership and organizational skills, an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Billings, MT : $113,117.00 - $161,595.00; Minneapolis, MN : $125,024.00 - $178,605.00; Folsom, CA - Denver, CO - Chicago, IL : $130,977.00 - $187,110.00; Irvine, CA : $136,931.00 - $195,615.00; Bellevue, WA - Boston, MA : $142,884.00 - $204,210.00; New York, NY : $148,838.00 - $212,625.00
