Interior Designer - Workplace - Senior

Your Role

As a Gensler Senior Interior Designer , you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You are an integral member of the design team who contributes a point of view and craves participation in conceptual thought process and design exploration. With you as part of our team, interiors have never been so engaging.

What You Will Do

• Lead interior design teams on projects
• Collaborate on workplace interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and management of budgets and schedules
• Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
• Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications
• Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
• Work with consultants, developers, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
• Participate in business development and marketing efforts
• Assures design conforms to contractual agreement with client
• Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
• Provide quality control reviews, QAQC of milestone drawing and FF&E specification deliverables
• Provides coaching and mentorship to team members
• Contribute to the recruitment process of new staff
