About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Global Head of Program Leadership to take on a pivotal role as the Player-Coach for the newly formed Program Leadership function. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading core teams in the strategy and execution of development programs, from pre-IND to registration. This includes acting as a CEO for clinical and late preclinical programs, fostering a sense of mission, creativity, and urgency, and working closely with senior leaders to develop program strategies and plans. The role also involves representing the program to internal and external stakeholders, leading key program team meetings, and ensuring alignment with the company's mission.

Candidates for this role at The Company should have an MD, MD / PhD, or PhD, with at least 6 years' of experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting. Experience in CNS and / or liver drug development, including the translation of novel candidates from preclinical to clinical development, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cross-functional program leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with senior leadership, health authorities, and KOLs. A background in CMC, particularly in gene therapy or biologics, and experience in developing regulatory documents and strategy are also required. The role demands a proactive, can-do attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
