DESCRIPTION :
Brown Technologies Incorporated (BTI) seeks a detail-oriented Part-Time Admin / HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations, recruiting coordination, and general administrative tasks. You’ll help with onboarding (I-9 / E-Verify), interview scheduling, document control, HRIS updates, and employee communications, keeping us organized as we scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Coordinate candidate interviews, manage calendars, and handle candidate communication.
Support new-hire onboarding : offer letters, background checks, I-9 / E-Verify, benefits kick-off, equipment requests.
Maintain personnel files and HRIS data accuracy (e.g., address, tax forms, emergency contacts).
Prepare routine HR communications and update SharePoint / Teams sites (policies, org charts, templates).
Track training, certifications, and compliance acknowledgments; run simple HR reports.
Assist with timekeeping and PTO / audit checks; route employee questions to the right SMEs.
Help plan small events (orientations, brown bags) and support culture / recognition programs.
General admin : meeting notes, expense receipts, purchase requests, light travel coordination.
Additional Duties : QUALIFICATIONS :
Required :
6–18 months experience in a corporate HR or administrative role (internships count).
Familiarity with HR basics (I-9, E-Verify, at-will notices, confidentiality).
Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams / SharePoint ).
Excellent written and verbal communication; organized, responsive, and discreet with sensitive info.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred :
Experience with an HRIS.
Recruiting coordination (posting jobs, screening, scheduling, reference checks).
Exposure to small-business or government-contractor environments (FLSA, basic recordkeeping).
Light process automation skills (Forms / Power Automate) are a plus.
