We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Solutions Architect - Health Insurance Large Group Product Configuration to join our national Healthcare & Life Sciences team. Candidates can be based anywhere within the continental US, Midwest and East Coast locations preferred; some travel is required.

Job Overview :

A Health Insurance Senior Solutions Architect is expected to have deep experience and knowledge in co-building a Large Group Product Configuration tool. This is an integral part of modernizing the business processes and technologies supporting the lifecycle of Large Group sales and benefit administration functions, often referred to as "Quote to Card". The Senior Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert business acumen to inform the logic necessary to build a product configuration tool. Additionally, we're looking for skillsets in : client presales / presentation and team management.

This Senior Solutions Architect will be a thought leader and direct the client in the necessary components required for a successful Large Group Product Configuration tool. When the vision is shared and agreed upon with the client, this Senior Solutions Architect will work to further translate detailed business needs into specific, addressable business process and technology requirements, providing relevant strategic guidance in the assessment and prioritization of those requirements, and executing against technology programs to deliver those requirements into operational status.

You will provide business / solution architecture to address the business problem and collaborate with technical colleagues on the platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor junior architects and other delivery team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and orchestrate the process of determining business needs from the Large Group sales teams of our clients, identifying how and where those business needs are best met with the technology options available (including Salesforce), and guiding the team in translating requirements into the technology implementation plan.
  • Guide and collaborate with a Business Process Engineer to document current and future state opportunities.
  • Have the experience to act as a thought leader and source of innovation and creativity for the development team in key domains of large group sales and benefit administration where technology has the potential to drive substantial new value – e.g.

self-service tools and capabilities

  • cross-system integration approaches and best practices
  • applications of AI / Automation to support specific uses case in the above areas (e.g. predictive approaches to lead scoring, cross selling etc.)
  • Work with Product Owner / Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
  • Project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
  • Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
  • Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
  • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
  • Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience with health insurance including at least 5 years of experience with large group payer(s) and experience in product configuration.
  • Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency; or has acted in a leadership role at a health insurance company drawing requirements from the highly-matrixed business stakeholders
  • Have a excellent understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design / architecture.
  • Proven track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
  • Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and / or large projects.
  • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platform is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
  • Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
  • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience leading internal initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be independent and self-driven.
  • Must be open to travel.
  • Preferred Skills and Education :

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
