About The Position

Must-Have :

Experience with telemetry and cardiac patients.

Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5-6.

Experience with IV starts and handling cardiac drips.

Comfort with admissions and discharges in a fast-paced setting.

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out on-site.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation.

No block scheduling is permitted.

No holiday RTO is accepted.

The unit typically deals with stable pre / post-care for pacemaker implantation, implanted cardioverter / defibrillators, and cardiac catheterization.

Nurses will manage multiple cardiac medication drips, including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.

The patient population includes those with unstable angina, low-risk chest pain, congestive heart failure, dysrhythmias, new CVA, and TIA patients.

Nurses should be comfortable adjusting care based on fluctuating patient needs and should expect a rapid turnover of patients.

This position requires flexibility to float between units based on census and skill sets.

The unit cares for COVID positive patients using opti-flow and BiPAP when necessary.

Effective communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.
