Key Job Details – Peoria, IL CVICU RN Location : Peoria, IL 61637 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Acute Cardiac Intermediate Unit (CVICU) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse Start Date : November 1, 2025 End Date : January 31, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shifts : 12-hour days (7a-7p), 3 shifts / week, rotating weekends & holidays Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020 Charting System : EPIC CVICU RN Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application) Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or Cardiac ICU nursing experience BLS certification (AHA required) ACLS preferred; CCRN or PCCN certification a plus Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Proficient in cardiac strip interpretation and titration of multiple drips Experience with cardiovascular equipment : Swan Ganz catheters, external pacemakers, arterial lines, ventilators Ability to float to ICU and stepdown units as needed Motivated, compassionate, and able to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment CVICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac stepdown and ICU patients Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Philips monitoring systems Titrate and manage cardiovascular and sedation drips (dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, epinephrine, neosynephrine, vasopressin, propofol, fentanyl, versed, insulin, heparin, esmolol, and more) Care for patients with advanced cardiac interventions : TAVRs, ablations, Watchman procedures, Mitral Clips, heart failure, trached and ventilated patients Utilize and manage specialty equipment : Swan Ganz catheters, external pacemakers, PICC, midlines, CVC, arterial lines, ventilators Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (charge nurses, patient care techs, monitor techs) Float to other levels of care within the hospital as required Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health record system Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude Ready to make a difference in Illinois healthcare?
