Job Title : CNC Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a CNC Machinist where you will operate machines running on MasterCam software, including 3 and 4 axis Mills. Our company, known for its healthy mix of commercial and defense contracts, is experiencing impressive growth rates of 20-40% annually. The majority of our work, approximately 95%, involves sheet metal machining.

Responsibilities

• Operate 3 and 4 axis vertical and horizontal CNC Mills efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Set up machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
• Follow verbal machine operation instructions from the department lead.
• Assess drawings and manufacturing planning for machining requirements.
• Carefully load parts into machines, operate control panels, and unload parts.
• Deburr and arrange finished parts in boxes or on pallets, sometimes running two machines at once.
• Monitor features and dimensions on each component run.
• Support supervisors in running production parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring, and inspecting quality parts for conformance.
• Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, tool setups, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machines as required.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly, performing basic preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to state and federal laws, Company Quality Program and procedures, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00 / hr.
