Base pay range

$170,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr

The Design Creative Director will serve as the creative lead for a flagship brand within the Human Health vertical, shaping its design vision, brand storytelling, and creative execution across all channels. This leader will ensure creative excellence that is strategically aligned, regulatory compliant, and commercially impactful— inspiring teams while building trusted partnerships with senior clients.

Key Responsibilities :

Creative Leadership and Brand Stewardship

  • Own the design and creative vision for a large, complex brand, ensuring visual consistency across all workstreams.
  • Translate clinical and scientific data into compelling, accessible design that resonates with HCPs, patients, and caregivers.
  • Drive concept development and design innovation, setting the creative bar for the account team.
  • Act as the final approver for all design deliverables before they enter MLR or client review.

Client Partnership and Influence

  • Serve as a primary creative partner to senior brand clients, presenting work with confidence and clarity.
  • Anticipate client needs, guiding them toward bold yet compliant creative solutions.
  • Represent the creative discipline in business reviews, brand planning, and cross-agency integration meetings.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships that position as a strategic, forward-thinking creative partner.
  • Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor designers, art directors, and other creatives assigned to the brand.
  • Create a culture of inspiration, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
  • Provide clear feedback, coaching, and career development.
  • Ensure resources are aligned properly to handle the scope of a major brand, balancing workloads across pods.
  • Operational and Process Excellence

  • Partner with account and strategy leads to scope, budget, and resource creative work.
  • Oversee design processes, ensuring efficient workflows that still allow for creative exploration.
  • Collaborate with Writing, Editorial, Medical, and Strategy teams to ensure creative solutions are grounded in insight and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold creative standards, templates, and best practices across all outputs.
