Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this full-time position will be to provide receptionist duties and responsibilities. This position will provide customer appropriate access to the individual(s) who provide the programs and services of the health department via access at the main entrance of the facility according to the Emergency Preparedness Policy.This position will also issue Birth and Death certificates to customers and collect appropriate identification and fees. In addition, this position will complete the daily report and submit it into Fiscal for processing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience : Two years of experience compiling and maintaining health records.
Notes :
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Medical Record classifications or Patient Administration Specialists and Health Services Management specialty codes in the health records management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for this classification must demonstrate the ability to type at a minimum speed of 20 words per minute.
