Join Our Team as an Associate Teacher!

Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of children? As an Associate Teacher , you will play a vital role in fostering both the educational and emotional growth of young learners. Collaborating closely with the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher, you will help create a vibrant classroom environment that celebrates each child's unique family culture.

In this dynamic position, you will support the implementation of our early childhood curriculum and engage families in enriching classroom experiences. Your contributions will be essential in shaping a nurturing and safe space for children to thrive.

Salary Range : $42,625 to $49,760, based on your expertise.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Implementing engaging lesson plans that align with child outcomes and classroom routines.
  • Participating in classroom coaching cycles to enhance teaching practices.
  • Fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.
  • Supervising children to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Observing and documenting each child's health, skills, and growth.
  • Assuming Lead Teacher responsibilities during their temporary absence.
  • Maintaining classroom organization, cleanliness, and overall management.
  • Ensuring the safety and hygiene of children on a regular basis.
  • Scheduling and conducting family / staff conferences in collaboration with the Lead Teacher.
  • Communicating daily with families through various channels.
  • Completing required program documentation and submitting it promptly.
  • Maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements.
  • Acting as a role model for child development.
  • Upholding confidentiality regarding program, staff, and families.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Current Child Development Associate credential or at least 12 college credits in early childhood education or related fields; level A or B certification in the PA ECE Career Pathway is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with children aged birth to 5 years.
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education standards, including NAEYC ethics.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and PBIS strategies is a plus.
  • Experience working with low-income families is preferred.
  • Comfort with technology, including MS Office Suite, and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong engagement skills with parents / caregivers, including initiating important discussions.
  • A responsible, enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to our mission.
  • Willingness to accept feedback and be held accountable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence and educate teams.
  • Ability to physically interact with children and lift / move items up to 40 pounds.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.

  • U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
