Central Processing Tech

Responsible for : Decontaminating, Assembly and Sterilization process for all instruments, procedure trays and patient care equipment for the Medical Center; operations of all processing equipment; inventorying and sterilizing linen items needed for the Medical Center and sterile technique.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

At least two years experience in a Central Service Department, Surgery or equivalent (Preferred).

Must have a General knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies and decontamination and sterilization techniques.

Good organizational skills.

Must be able to stand for long period of time; required to do some walking and lifting (17 to 25 pounds.)
