The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the timely and accurate accounting for all cash and credit cards transactions at BearCom. This role will participate in the monthly close process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed. This position is located on-site in our Garland, TX office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Post Daily bank transactions
  • Daily Credit Card coding, processing, and reconciliation
  • Administer the Company's T&E and Employee Expense Reimbursement from a financial perspective
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly bank reporting
  • Month end entries
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliations and posting of related entries
  • Proactively researches and resolves issues
  • Assist with preparing after month end management reports
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information
  • Work collaboratively with team members and vendor contacts to follow up on vendor billing details and discrepancies completes other projects / responsibilities as assigned
  • Special projects as needed

    • Required Skills & Abilities :

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) with an emphasis on excel (knows v-lookups / Pivot tables)
  • Excellent Communication (written and verbal) skills with emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette
  • Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Must have a strong understanding of GAAP
  • Analytical, detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
