About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President to spearhead its Data Products and Reporting division. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing a data-as-a-product model, with a focus on enhancing decision-making and transparency across various operational areas. This executive role demands a strategic approach to data, combining product management and stakeholder leadership to ensure the delivery of trusted insights that influence business direction. Key responsibilities include defining and executing a data product strategy, overseeing the delivery of reporting and analytics solutions, and serving as a Product Owner for the data engineering team. The role also involves close collaboration with business leaders to identify and deliver high-value data products, as well as promoting data governance, quality, and compliance throughout the organization.
Applicants for this VP position should have a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in analytics, BI, or data product management leadership, with a strong command of data visualization tools and proficiency in cloud and data technologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, particularly when engaging with senior stakeholders. A background in insurance data flows and product complexity, as well as experience in agile environments and managing cross-functional teams, is required. The ideal candidate will also have an Agile Product Owner certification, experience with AI / ML-driven reporting or automation, and familiarity with actuarial, finance, or risk reporting systems. The role calls for a leader who is collaborative, transparent, and delivery-oriented, with a strong emphasis on accountability and communication at all levels, and the ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.
