As a Compliance Consultant with us, you will be responsible for conducting risk management, supporting client / regulator attestations and audits, responding to corrective / remediation action plans, supporting business critical issues, and monitoring changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates. The Compliance Consultant will conduct compliance oversight activities with a focus on client and regulator attestations and audits across all lines of business and help to support ongoing compliance program requirements.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Establish, mandate and implement standard policies, procedures and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
  • Respond to client, accreditation, and regulatory compliance program effectiveness audit requests which includes communicating compliance with regulatory standards as well as support any remedial actions
  • Respond to and manage client and regulatory compliance attestations related to Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Exchange and Pharmacy lines of business
  • Conduct state / federal-specific research and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
  • Drive compliance communication requirements which includes development and execution of a compliance communication work plan and marketing material reviews
  • Support the collection of data for regulatory and / or client filings, coordinate and develop reports, projects and (i.e. This includes but is not limited to client specific training reports, escalation and monitoring of required enterprise new hire and annual training completion rates, etc.)
  • Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
  • You may have worked in compliance already. But that's not like operating on a global scale. The stakes are high and the changes breathtaking. You will be challenged with thinking strategically as you implement effective compliance programs. You will be responsible for monitoring internal and external regulatory audits. And you will be expected to solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years healthcare compliance related experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a government, legal, healthcare, managed care and / or health insurance environment
  • Experience communicating complex information via phone conversations and emails to non-technical clients, external customers, internal customers and executives
  • Experience interacting & collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (other team members, internal customers, and executives)
  • Intermediate or better proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Preferred Qualification :

  • Experience working with or in Legal, Regulatory, and / or Compliance arena

    California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
