The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online Business Writing tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, youll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students learning journeys from home.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform to provide 1-on-1 online instruction tailored to individual students.
  • Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
  • Use platform features to enhance lessons (e.g., AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement).
  • Manage sessions and invoicing; we handle payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Business Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

  • 1-on-1 Online Tutoring - Provide personalized instruction to individual students.
  • Instant Tutoring - Accept on-demand tutoring requests whenever youre available.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40 / hour for ongoing sessions with the same student.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as youd like.
  • We handle the logistics—you just invoice for your tutoring sessions, and we take care of payments.
