Unit : Emergency Room (ER)

Duration : 16 weeks (Start : 11 / 30 / 2025 – End : 3 / 22 / 2026)

Hours per Week : 36

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (mid and night shifts available)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200-$2360

Free Housing : 1-bedroom unit provided (pet units not available)

ER RN Qualifications – Alaska Healthcare Jobs

Active Alaska Registered Nurse license required

Minimum 3 years of recent ER RN experience in a Level 1-3 trauma center, including at least 1 year as internal staff RN

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications (active or scheduled)

ENPC certification preferred

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Willingness to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule

On-call : 1-2 shifts per 4-week schedule in addition to regular shifts

Holiday coverage required (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Permanent address must be 50+ miles outside Fairbanks, Alaska

Two completed references required (one preferred from a recent supervisor)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy trauma center

Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions

Accurately document patient care and maintain timely records

Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations

Participate in on-call and holiday coverage as scheduled
