Job Description

As a Design Engineer, your mission is to be an integral player in developing new products and maintaining existing ones, ensuring they meet all product requirements including performance and return on investment. Utilize your engineering skills to develop products with a strong customer impact. Use your creativity and ambition to drive innovative solutions for our customers, focusing on quality and cost-effectiveness. Ensure product documentation (drawings, BOMs) are current. Manage the release of engineering documents. Conduct cross-functional team meetings to resolve product issues during its lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain a First Time Right (FTR) metric of over 90%.
• Create and maintain 3D master assembly models using clients standards with CAD software (e.g., Inventor, CREO) and Product Lifecycle Management software (e.g., Windchill).
• Develop detailed 2D component drawings with proper dimensioning, welding symbols, material callouts, and part markings.
• Coordinate new designs and updates with the clients global design center (GECIA).
• Manage engineering document releases.
• Create and maintain product bills of materials related to your projects.
• Develop product options as needed.
• Identify critical assembly operations and provide assembly details (e.g., fastener torques) on system drawings for production.
• Create and update engineering instructions related to routing of hoses, wiring, fuel lines, etc.
• Assist lab personnel in prototype assembly when necessary.
