Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with an active AK RN license, 2 years of cath lab experience, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities Work in the Cath Lab within an acute hospital setting
Level II trauma center and Magnet-designated facility
Assignment options of 13 or 26 weeks, with 4x10 day shifts (7 : 00–17 : 00)
On-call required one day per week and every 4th / 5th weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning)
Approximately one scheduled Saturday per month required
Floating may occur to EP or IR units and within affiliate hospitals as needed
Epic charting system is used and prior experience is required
Scrubs are provided
Responsibilities include all aspects of cath lab nursing, including assisting with specialized procedures and rotating on-call duties
Must be willing to float between facilities within the state as needed
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Holiday coverage required for at least 2 out of these 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
Scrubs are provided by the facility
Time off requests are considered on an individual basis after offer, with a maximum of one request per 13-week assignment
Travelers can only complete one assignment per calendar year at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
No local candidates accepted; radius rule of 50 miles applies
Free parking available onsite
Pre-start and annual online modules are required and self-reported
Requirements Current and active AK RN license in hand at time of offer
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
Epic EMR experience required
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
References from at least 2 supervisory roles covering 1 year of relevant employment within the last 3 years
Permanent staff must be separated from Providence for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
Hepatitis B vaccine required (titers or declination not accepted)
