Shipping & Receiving Clerk
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments. You will prepare and schedule items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Responsibilities
- Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare and schedule items for shipment.
- Compare identifying information of shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determine the method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or preassemble items using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Plan and monitor daily shipments to reduce documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure on-time shipment, documentation, and booking follow-up, and monitor shipments from origin to destination.
- Receive incoming orders of materials, equipment, and supplies and maintain records through data entry.
- Verify information from bills of lading, invoices, and orders against actual shipments.
- Keep records of shortages and damages and address issues to rectify problems.
- Operate forklift trucks or pallet jacks to move materials in the warehouse.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving.Ability to operate forklift trucks and pallet jacks.High school diploma required.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with packaging, inventory management, and material handling.Proficiency in data entry.Why Work Here?

Work in a very large, clean manufacturing environment producing interior products for Boeing 737 aircrafts, including galleys, closets, lavatories, floor panels, class dividers, and sidewalls.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
